Country Music Hall of Famer, "Rhinestone Cowboy" and "Gentle On My Mind" crooner, True Grit actor, ex-host of The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, mugshot grad, and all-around music legend Glen Campbell has himself a contemporary covers collection. It goes without saying that this feels very much like a bid for relevancy a la Johnny Cash's and Paul Anka career revivals, but it needed to be said anyway. On Meet Glen Campbell, the septuagenarian gives the Replacements, U2, Foo Fighters, John Lennon, Jackson Browne, Travis, and the Velvet Underground, among others, the Campbell treatment.
